Accessing File Manager
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Navigate to the Files section and click on File Manager.
- By default, File Manager opens in the
public_htmldirectory, which is the root folder for your website files.
Uploading Files
- In File Manager, navigate to the folder where you want to upload files.
- Click the Upload button in the top menu.
- Click Select File or drag and drop your files into the upload window.
- Wait for the upload to complete. Large files may take longer depending on your internet speed.
- Once uploaded, close the upload tab to return to File Manager.
Creating and Managing Folders
- To create a new folder, click the + Folder button, enter the folder name, and confirm.
- You can move files by selecting them, then using the Move button or drag and drop functionality.
- Rename files or folders by selecting the item and clicking the Rename button.
- Delete unwanted files or folders by selecting them and clicking Delete.

- Select a file and click Edit to modify the file directly within File Manager.

- Always save your changes before closing the editor.
Downloading Files
To download files, select the file(s) and click the Download button. Files will be saved to your local computer.
